Dr Charis Lorenz BVMS MRCVS

Dr Charis Lorenz BVMS MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon

Hi! I’m Charis, a Veterinary Surgeon and proud RaaW Ambassador. Originally from sunny California, I moved to the UK to study at Glasgow University Veterinary School and since qualifying, I have worked in small animal practice around Glasgow (currently at the Natural Vet in Thornliebank).

I believe in a comprehensive holistic approach to my patients’ wellbeing, and that a balanced species-appropriate diet is an excellent foundation for optimal health. I have additional training in traditional Chinese acupuncture and herbal medicine, and try to incorporate these into my treatment plans where possible. I am also a Fear Free Certified practitioner, and aim to make every clinic visit for my patients as stress-free and positive as possible, even if they are feeling poorly.

Outside of veterinary medicine, I enjoy canicross with my young raw-fed Samoyed dog Artek, and traveling to new places when I can. I also serve as a Director of The Trusty Paws Clinic, providing free veterinary care for the pets of Glasgow’s homeless and vulnerably housed.
